Hot Picante Sauce

Picante Sauce
Ingredients:
Tomatoes -20
Bell Peppers - 2
Jalapeno peppers - 2
Salt, pepper
Olive oil - 3 table spoons
Cilantro - 1 cup
Lime - 2
Onions (red onion) - 1
Peaches - 2
Garlic 5-7 cloves
1. Place tomatoes in hot water until the skin breaks. Remove, cool. Peel the skin.
2. Use hand mixer to chop into small pieces 1/2 cup of cilantro and garlic
3. Chop 1/2 cup cilantro, onions, 10 tomatoes, bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, peaches into 1/2 -1/3 inch pieces.
4. Blend 10 tomatoes in blender (I like my sauce not too thin not too thick, you may blend or chop all tomatoes)
5. Mix all ingredients together. Bring to boil over slow to medium heat and remove from heat right away.
Let cool.
Add lime juice, salt and pepper to taste.
KIDS: Pushing buttons is always fun, especially for the little ones. I let my son blend, chop and mix. Be careful to stop them on time or you may have blended food instead of chopped. Read more...
